Lv Hongliang was born in 1980 in Zhuji, Zhejiang.

He obtained his PhD in oil painting from Shanghai

Academy of Fine Arts, and is a member of the Shanghai Artists Association. He currently teaches at the School of Fine Arts at Shanghai Normal University and works as an MFA supervisor. His works have been collected by institutions such as Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai University School of Fine Arts, and Shanghai Mingyuan Art Museum, and have been auctioned at Poly Auction Beijing.
